AHD supplies a full portfolio of fully licensed veterinary medicines—both vaccines and pharmaceuticals—authorised for use in the Irish, Northern Ireland and UK markets by the HPRA and the VMD, in accordance with their respective regulatory frameworks.
In addition, during periods of product shortage, we support veterinary professionals by importing essential medicines under Special Import Licences issued by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) for Ireland, and under the VMD Special Import Scheme for the UK, as provided for under Regulation (EU) 2019/6 and relevant UK legislation. Alongside our licensed medicinal range, we also provide high-quality targeted nutritionals and biosecurity products.

AHD prides itself on developing Professional Partnerships and Supporting Veterinary Practices by delivering an integrated service to the veterinary profession, providing technical expertise, product guidance and support with adverse event investigations. Our veterinary and regulatory specialists offer advice on medicines use, herd health and the sourcing of required veterinary products.
We work closely with licensed wholesalers and manufacturers across Europe and collaborate with Marketing Authorisation Holders to ensure reliable access to fully approved veterinary medicines for the Irish, Northern Ireland and UK markets—authorised by the HPRA and the VMD. When essential products are in short supply, we also source and supply medicines through Special Import Licences issued by DAFM and under the VMD Special Import Scheme.
